Abril Ibarra

Originally from Mexico, Abril discovered her passion for music at a young age, beginning her journey with the piano, but later expanding into playing chamber music and playing the bassoon as part of an orchestra. Inspired by a mentor, Abril then felt a calling to follow in their footsteps and dedicate herself to music education. She earned her bachelor’s degree in music education and piano performance in Russia, where she was exposed to a variety of teaching methodologies from different cultures. Abril’s teaching style is eclectic, incorporating diverse approaches she has encountered throughout her studies and experiences.

Abril believes that music lessons are an opportunity for self-discovery and personal growth. Her philosophy centers on nurturing a love for music while fostering happiness and fulfillment in her students. She emphasizes that the ultimate goal of music education is not only to produce the most accomplished musicians, but also to cultivate well-rounded individuals who find joy in their musical journey and develop valuable life skills along the way. Through her lessons, Abril aims to inspire her students to be passionate, creative individuals who make music a meaningful part of their lives.
