Siobhán is a multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter from Rock Island, Illinois. Growing up, they watched their dad at his local gigs, and found a love of music through singing and performing with him. At age seven they started piano lessons and shortly after studied voice, guitar, ukulele, and percussion. While earning their bachelors degree in Music, Siobhán played vibraphone in the Luther College Jazz Orchestra. Before becoming an instrumental teacher, Siobhán got their start teaching ballet–and always believed in appreciating music from many perspectives. As an interdisciplinary artist Siobhán believes that all artistic pursuits inform each other, and are how we communicate what it is to be alive.

As a teacher, Siobhán is open minded and adapts to each student’s unique needs. With a student-led teaching style, they aim to create self-motivated students. Siobhán focuses on making the challenging process of learning music fun and engaging. Mastering music theory and becoming fluent on their instrument is important for students, but nurturing a personal appreciation for music is the foundation of Siobhán’s philosophy.
