Sean McQuinn is a Chicago-born multi-instrumentalist, performer, and educator who grew up in the south suburbs and studied Music Education and Classical Piano Performance at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His musical background includes classical piano, clarinet, and voice, along with extensive performing, recording, and teaching experience on keys, vocals, guitar, bass, and drums.

After college, Sean spent nine years as a high school band director, teaching everything from Concert and Symphonic Band to Guitar, Percussion Ensemble, Beginning Band, and Music Production. His teaching philosophy centers on building strong relationships with students and helping them grow through music in a way that feels personal, exciting, and meaningful. Sean believes every student learns best when their own interests are part of the process, and he loves helping young musicians build confidence, discipline, and joy in their music-making.

Sean has toured nationally and recorded with the folk rock / bluegrass group The Way Down Wanderers and with indie singer-songwriter Ione. He has also written, co-produced, and recorded music for more than a dozen commercials, including campaigns for GoDaddy, Samsung, Truly, and Duke Cannon.
