Jonah Eichner is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan who moved to the Chicago area after spending some years on the east coast studying at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary music. They started playing music at age 8–initially learning through lessons, school band, and some musical theater–but truly fell in love with music while playing with their high school jazz program.

Jonah believes firmly in the power of music to help guide individuals and communities into positive self actualization, through imbuing everyday life with ritual and purpose. They want to provide space in which creative self discovery is the primary objective, delving into subjects aligned with the goals of the student and most importantly prioritizing their pathfinding to joyous expression! Jonah believes that children(and folks of all ages) should all have the chance to discover how to be free and dance within their own distinct musical voice.

Jonah works with a number of different bands and also writes, records, and performs their own music under the name “Jonaleh”. They also compose the musical numbers for the internet cartoon “Mummy Joe”.
