Anya Liu
Piano, Violin
Growing up in the North Shore area, Anya Liu started studying piano at age four, quickly followed by violin at age six. She is currently pursuing her bachelors of music and bachelors of science at Northwestern University. Her main focus is in classical music, but she loves to branch out to all genres of music. Anya has taken on many roles as a musician. She has been a soloist with the Oistrakh Symphony of Chicago, a member of an award-winning chamber ensemble, a band director, choral accompanist, as well as a member of an orchestra.
Anya is passionate about sharing her love for music by teaching students of all ages. She wants to help people reach their goals, no matter how big or small, and encourages students to view mistakes as opportunities to grow. She commits to always being there for her students and to nurture their passion for creativity and music.
